A Public Apology

We all make mistakes sometimes. This is one of those times.

As such, I would like to apologize to several people who may be receiving “postage due” notices with their holiday greetings. In my haste to mail off as many cards as possible on the same day I wrote them, I stuck postcard postage on large postcards. I used all my quarters at the stamp machine in an ABC Store because the post office was closed, and I wanted to at least fire off a few greetings before calling it good.

When I went to mail the rest of my cards in the morning, the guy at the post office said, “All big cards?” then charged me for standard stamps.

…what? Crud.

So, I am sorry if your holiday card comes begging for change.

Mele Kalikimaka, friends. Here’s to bumbling away the rest of 2011.
